Nokia 5800 XM NAM Firmware updated to v50


Finally the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic NAM gets the firmware update to v50, that other variants received a few weeks ago. It’s said to be a  major update and adds some nice little features to the device.

The firmware update integrates some of the latest version of Nokia’s services like Ovi Maps etc. directly into the firmware, saving some space on C: drive. Apart from this it also brings kinetic scrolling & the new Ovi Sync app, which finally lets you automate synchronization with Ovi Contacts and Ovi Calendar. The update is currently only available for the following product codes:

0581748:  Israel Black
0581747: APAC2-AU Black
0561619: Brazil BLACK
0561619: Brazil BLACK
0561618: LTA BLACK
0561618: LTA BLACK
0574994: NA BLACK
0574994: NA BLACK
0581746: Thailand Black

    I can't update yet code: 0583690, I'm stuck with v31.2.101… I hope I'll get the update soon. Nokia tends to forget America (North, Central and South). :S

    I hope… My Nokia 5700 XpressMusic is also waiting for an update, LOL! I'm sure I'll get the software in the next week or so.

    yeah i also have the same problem as Manuel I´m from Mexico and I´m also stuck with V.31.2.101, it´s stable and OK, but it could be better to have a new firmware I love my 5800, it´s teh best, thank you a lot Symbian
