Nokia 900 / Hydra, Dual Core Windows 7 Phone with Swipe Gesture Leaked?


We just got a leak information on upcoming Nokia Windows Phone – Nokia 900 code name Hydra. The device is powered by fast 1.5 GHz dual core processors, 12 AF camera (Carls Zeiss), Nokia Maps, Swipe Gesture, NFC and more.

 

A new DailyMobile forum users Interna-L-eak posted the news. Although we don’t have any other reliable sources on this news to confirm the leak, Let’s have a looks over its interesting hardware :

    Even though I hate the Windows Phone direction .. it looks like a great move for Nokia. ..  Users are stupid .. specially in the U.S. it seems.   they need to have something other then Symbian to get into that market .. to bad they don’t put more effort into MeeGo though.

    but looks like a kick ass device.  (with a less then fun OS)

    That’s not real:
    - no search and back buttons (they are mandatory on WP7)
    - there’s no Nokia Maps on WP7 yet
    - there’s no swipe gestures on WP7

    It is fake.. As  many ppl indicated the madatory buttons for WP7 are missing and there is no usb 3.0 on phones yet, heck it is still to catch up with PCs and the estimated price doesn’t seem to match the specs

    i’M PRETTy sure the buttons aren’t mandatory on Windows Phone 7.5 (aka Mango)

    Surely Nokia WILL make Nokia Maps available on WP? I don’t see them dropping the biggest attraction to Nokia (software-wise). I’m sure this is a sign it is coming.

    Who says swipe gestures isn’t coming to WP?

    Search and back buttons are no longer mandatory from Mango onwards.

    If this is true, then it will be very exciting! :D I really want to see if the user interface of Nokia’s Windows phones will be “nokiafied” and if it will have Swipe. I also hope that Nokia will be able to remove the need to use the Zune software when connecting a Windows phone to a PC.

    not necessarily NOkia n8 has bluetooth 3.0 i have one..and Nokia did say Microsoft was going to let it customize the phone…i mean they are bringing OVI maps to the table..I think it is possible..who would buy another WP7 phone if if looked exactly like the HTC out there..it is possible people

    Change exist. Nokia and Microsoft has been working together for some time now, and it is highly probable that they have Nokia Maps work on their WP7 phone, swipe gestures have been implemented, and perhaps the search and back buttons only appear when the phone is on, just like an Android whose name I can’t recall.

    Wow you clearly doesnt own a WP. WP7 is more smooth then Iphone 4 with 1 Ghz CPU. 1.5Ghz is almost overkill

    I said usb 3.0, not BT 3.0, BTW I too have a N8 and it is BT 3.0 only, not BT 3.0+HS. If you are wondering wat the +HS is, it is High Speed. All the blistering speeds about BT 3.0 is because of this. So What N8 has is the power efficiency factor of BT 3.0, nothing more.

    In other words it is a power efficient BT 2.1+EDR

    I never favored iPhone in my comment; nor I am an iPhone fan. What I am emphasizing is that a phone OS shouldn’t be so much demanding in hardware requirements. 1GHz is the minimum requirement of WP I guess; this is not so in other mobile OSs.

    As far as I know, WP7 does not support dual-core processing yet. I suspect the first Nokia WP7 is going to be 1.5GHz but not dual core.

    why can’t you swipe tiles from left to right, in windows phone 7, this will give more screen space. and have one tiles for apps.

    It is not demanding at all, it runs smoothly on my quite old LG E900 as well, whereas my iPhone 4 regularly lags without any obvious reason.
