Nokia Naming Conventions : N, E, X & Now C Series.

Nokia today unveil its new C Series device Nokia C5 and adds a new naming convention to its series. There are now total four series of devices in Nokia – Nokia Cseries, Xseries, Eseries and Nseries. Let us diagnose what these series mean.

Nokia’s new naming convention is designed to make things easier for Nokia users, so they can quickly and easily select the device that sits within their requirement. Nokia  now have total four series of devices – Nokia Cseries, Xseries, Eseries and Nseries. What’s more, within each series of devices, we’re seeing a new range of numbers, from 1 to 9, each signifying the range of functionality on offer, and the approximate prices of the devices – 1 being the lowest and 9 being the highest.

1- Nokia Cseries represents the core range of products.

2- Nokia Eseries remains focussed on productivity and business.

3- Nokia Xseries focuses on social entertainment.

4- Nokia Nseries remains the most advanced range of products.

According to Nokia: Work on the new naming convention started way back in 2008, when extensive consumer research was done around the subject. The results of this research culminated in a new naming convention being created and first introduced late last year.
