As you already noticed that Ovi Store was down for some scheduled maintenance, Now its back to normal with couple of under the hood improvement & with a new updated Ovi Store client for Nokia mobile devices. Read on to know whats new….

The Ovi Store client for mobile devices now updated to v1.07(12), becomes much faster with some navigation & search improvement, its previous version was  v1.06(18).

Improvements:-

1- Ovi Store client has now continuous pages for content lists. The old navigation link to browse through pages of content here is now replaced with ‘Load More Items‘ mechanism. This new mechanism works great – extends the current page with more contents, rather than loading up a new one page.

2- So the new items get added to the bottom and its continues growing as you load more item, Thus enabling Scrolling and making the Ovi Store client a bit Faster.

3- The Ovi Store client now support searching for a string inside the name, making searching more efficient. Now its easy to find applications over the store.

( e.g – If you search word ‘Symbian‘ it will list all app associated with name ‘Symbian’, whether its on name or  tagged or categorized by developer.

You can update your client by just opening the Ovi Store client on you mobile or alternately you can also download the updated client by going to store.ovi.mobi on your mobile device.
