Qt Mobility 1.0.2 released with Fixes!

Good News for developers, yesterday Qt Mobility 1.0.2 was released over  Qt Labs with some critical fixes.

The team over Qt Labs worked hard to ensure that the new 1.0.2 package addresses those critical fixes (P0, P1 errors) that they encountered in Qt Mobility 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 patch.

In short the more prominent APIs issues were: Location API crashes on Symbian platforms while using Nokia Qt SDK beta included the mobility 1.0.0 APIs and Sensors API failing on Maemo 5 while using 1.0.1 patch.

Now Qt team has successfully resolved theses issue with this fresh 1.0.2 release, Qt Mobility 1.0.2 can be downloaded from  Qt Solutions webpage of Qt Labs.

These new Qt APIs, not only enable Qt developers to include standard mobile functionality in their applications, but also provide useful application functionality across desktop platforms. Together with the ports to Symbian and Maemo, Qt is offering even better support for mobile development.

  • Create dynamic navigation applications with the location API
  • Support standard mobile applications such as messaging, contacts and multimedia
  • Enable network roaming using bearer management
