After Nokia 5800 update, today we just got the news from Netherlands that new planned software update is now rolling-out eventually for Nokia X6 and will be reach to you very soon.

You can update your Nokia X6 firmware over OTA (Over-The-Air) or by using Windows PCapplications  Nokia’s Software Updater or Nokia Suite. The Nokia X6 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), but its always good idea to backup all of your personal data before updating the device firmware. The firmware update is about 8.5 MB in size via OTA.

As promised Nokia will soon release the new firmware updated for  X6 and 5530.

On 29th of  June, Nokia announced a major software update for few loved old  Symbian 3.2 and Symbian 5.0 devices, From the date we got regular quarries about the firmware update news of the announced devices. Today we just got the news that Nokia has now cancelled delayed this planned software update for Nokia x6 , Nokia 5800 and Nokia 5530 phones, where rest of the devices already got the update.

The Nokia Conversation post of the announced update is now updated with this information without any notice, but we hope to receive an official statement / clarification on this cancellation.

Update: We just got this clarification from Nokia Support Discussion Forum team member that the firmware update for Nokia 5800, 5530 and X6 is not Cancelled but Delayed. Skyee a Nokia employee answered the Forum users :-

“As my PNs to various users got copied and pasted already above, I can only repeat what I’ve said there. The updates for 5800, 5530 and X6 are NOT cancelled but only delayed.”
