Sports Tracker Blog launched, New web service released with updates!


Today Sports Tracker launched its new blog Sports Tracker Blog and released new web service with some updates. The new blog will act as a central hub delivering  news and updates on further development of Sports Tracker.

“Sports tracker is an great GPS based sports app that track everything from calories burned while running to your average cycling speed over altitude. You get maps, time and distance calculators, step count, and even heart rate when you use a compatible HR belt. It stick the photos you shot and music you listen to your route during your workout, also the photos get geotag automatically. All data is stored in a diary so you can chart your progress, find your strengths and weaknesses, and share with others.”

Web Service Updates:

  • GPX import for importing data recorded with other devices
  • Heart rate support for workouts without GPS data (select Indoor to switch off the GPS)
  • Email notifications: Received and accepted friend invites, comments to your workouts, comments to workouts you commented and new shared workouts by friends
  • Settings for the Email notifications (in case the notifications aren’t your thing)

In addition to the new features team has also adressed a number of small bugs and jinks.

Minor Application update launching next week

  • GPX export to include heart rate data
  • Heart rate zone calculation fix (addressing this issue reported via support site )
