Nokia N97 Mini Firmware updated to v30.0.004 (With Official Changelog)

Finally – Nokia N97 Mini firmware updated to v30.0.004. Its previous software version was v12.0.110.

You can update your Nokia N97 mini firmware over OTA (Over-The-Air) or by using Windows PCapplications Nokia’s Software Updater or Ovi Suite. The Nokia N97 mini does have UDP (User Data Preservation), but its always good idea to backup all of your personal data before updating the device firmware.

You can now search the web directly from the web address field
Non-Latin characters are supported in web addresses
E-mail comes with improved usability and account creation
Here and Now gives you timely information about, for example, the weather, events, or restaurants nearby.

Quick heads-up, A small software update ‘Internet Radio 2.2′ is now available over OTA for most of the Symbian^1 (S60v5) devices – N97, N97 Mini, 5800, 5230, C5-03, X6 and C6.

Update Description:

“Get access to thousands of free radio stations with the Nokia Internet radio app. Stations are categorized by genre, language and region so you can easily discover new music , news and talk”

To get this update just fire up ‘SW Update’ application on your Symbian^1 device. The update is about 561 kB in size.

Quick heads-up, A small software update ‘Photos app 1.0.1′ is now available for Symbian^1 (S60v5) devices Nokia 5800, N97, N97 Mini, 5230, X6 and C6.

Unfortunately this is not a firmware update for which all Symbian^1 users are waiting for. The ‘New Photos app 1.0.1′ is about 4 MB in size, brings some core improvements to the app.

To get this update just fire up ‘Photos’ app or open ‘Sw Update’ application on your Symbian^1 device.

MazeLock : New way to unlock your Nokia touch screen phone

‘MazeLock’ is touch screen phone security app developed by ThinkChange, It offers an innovative way to secure your Symbian^1 touch screen phone.

How to use it:

You need first to set your own unlock pattern by connecting some of the nine white dots together (There is a default unlock pattern pre setted). When you try to unlock your phone, you need to draw the same pattern exactly as you set.

You can also protect your side bar slider key — double click the menu key to lock the phone. When the phone is locked, single click the menu key to show you the lock screen with large time display, if you only want to glance at the time, signle click the menu key again to turn off the light to save the battery!

The lock screen can be easily configured according to your own preference: you can download plenty of backgrounds for free, the date and time display can be changed, the color of the text is also configurable.
