According to the study by “The Brand Trust Report”, the Finnish mobile handset maker Nokia has emerged as the most-trusted brand in India once again. Nokia leads for the third consecutive year, while its closest competitor Samsung have moved up two ranks from last year and takes the 2nd position this time.
Nokia today announced that it has completed the divestment of its “Vertu” luxury phone brand to European private equity group, EQT VI. As a part of the transaction, approximately 1,000 employees have transferred to the new firm.Vertu produces a range of high end mobile phones based on Nokia’s Symbian and Series 40 platforms, which usually feature precious metals and gemstones in their design.
The popular mobile games developer and publisher HandyGames today released 35 new game titles to Nokia’s recently launched Series 40 based full touch screen Asha phones. All games are now available for download over Nokia Store.
In a press release today, Nokia announced that they have signed an agreement with Namco Bandai to bring 22 classic arcade games to their recently launched affordable Asha touch phones - Nokia Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311. These new titles are priced between USD 0.99 and USD 2.99 – and will be available on the Nokia Store starting from today.

Expanding the Dual SIM family, Nokia today launches another 2-in-1 inexpensive Dual SIM phone Nokia X2-02. Its music phone with dual standby and easy swap functionality, the device is successor of the Nokia X1-01 Dual SIM phone that was launched earlier this year.
