Today at Nairobi, Kenya Nokia announced Four new affordable Nokia Cseries mobile phones & Bicycle Charger Kit. Nokia C1-00, C1-01, C1-02 & C2-00 in which C1-00 and C2-00 are Nokia’s first Dual SIM phones, where C1-01 and C1-02 are both single SIM devices. In which Nokia C1 is said to be Nokia’s first device to give six weeks device standby.
Nokia and Yahoo! announces strategic partnership for Web Services
Today Nokia and Yahoo! have joined forces to create an alliance that leverages each others’ strengths in email, instant messaging, and maps and navigation services. The purpose of the alliance is to provide consumers with access to world-class experiences on both PC and mobile devices. As part of the alliance Nokia will become the exclusive provider of Yahoo!’s maps and navigation services, branded as “powered by Ovi”, and Yahoo! will become the exclusive global provider of Nokia’s Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat services, branded as “powered by Yahoo!”

Nokia together with CE4A (Consumer Electronics for Automotive) working group have released Nokia’s Terminal Mode technology specification as a proposed industry standard for the integration of mobile applications into the car environment. This specification is open to all automotive and mobile device manufacturers.
Nokia simplifies its organizational structure to accelerate execution and innovation
To increase competitiveness and deliver a stronger and more differentiated consumer experience, Nokia will introduce a simplified company structure for its devices and services business comprised of three units: Mobile Solutions, Mobile Phones and Markets. Effective July 1, 2010, the move aims to accelerate product innovation and software execution in line with the company’s goals of integrating content, applications and services into its mobile computer, smartphone and mobile phone portfolio.
