Today Nokia Maps team added two new major feature Navigation and Share to Nokia Maps 3D. Now you can now search for local attractions, restaurants, and shops, and get directions in the world’s most famous cities in photorealistic 3D views.

A feature you all were asking for was the possibility to search for local attractions, restaurants, and shops, and get directions in the world’s most famous cities in photorealistic 3D views.

Today, we are glad to tell you that this is now possible. And there’s even more!
Luca, our Nokia Maps 3D product manager explains it all in the video above.

If you visit maps.nokia.com you can select ‘3D view’ on the top right ‘Map view’ dropdown menu. The first time you do so, you can install the plugin that unleashes the full graphic potential of your computer.

In the ‘Search’ field you can enter addresses, businesses and point of interests. We find everything for you and you can see it in 3D. You will feel like you were already there. Details such as business hours, pictures, reviews, specials, and ratings are also shown, if relevant.

When you find the place you are looking for, you can obviously plan a route there with walk or drive directions. Everything in 3D.

For more flexibility, you can switch anytime between 3D and 2D views.

Even more fun is when you share a place or a route with your friends, via email, Facebook or Twitter.

For instance, if you have ever wondered what is my favourite walk in Berlin, you can find the answer behind this link and when you click on ‘3D view’ you will feel like you were there.”
