WhatsApp for Symbian smartphones updated to v2.9.3
Quick heads-up, ‘WhatsApp’ the popular cross platform IM app for Symbian smartphones is updated to version 2.9.3. The latest version brings chat history, web searching functions, UI improvements and fixes to the app.
‘WhatsApp Messenger is a smartphone messaging app which allows you to exchange messages with your friends and contacts without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is cross platform and available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other! To send and receive messages, WhatsApp utilizes your existing smartphone internet data plan: 3G / EDGE (or Wi-Fi when available).
Note: As always no official changelog has been released. Below is the user generated changelog:
- The new Chat history settings tab now allows you to Send, Backup or Clear chats manually
- Clear all conversations option was added in last build which also takes place as a separate submenu Chat history tab.
- Search Web option added in Groups settings- You can now search group subject via inbuilt search function (Belle only)
- Few bug fixes
