WhatsApp for Symbian smartphones updated to v2.9.6


Once again, the popular cross platform IM app ‘WhatsApp’ for Symbian smartphones is updated. The latest version is now v2.9.6.

WhatsApp Messenger is a smartphone messaging app which allows you to exchange messages with your friends and contacts without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is cross platform and available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other! To send and receive messages, WhatsApp utilizes your existing smartphone internet data plan: 3G / EDGE (or Wi-Fi when available).

Note: As always no changelog has been released.  If you find anything new in this update, please do let us know in your comments.

    - Field “Image name” has been removed from “Contact Info” screen
